Law Property Australia has worked with our builder partners to plan a stylish range of House and Land Packages to be built on selected blocks of land in good locations across the Greater Brisbane area. Each home has been planned to suit the selected block of land, and in choosing each design, the builder has considered important issues like solar orientation, vehicle access, open space areas and street appeal.

House and Land Packages are a great option and an effective way to understand what your new home will cost up front. And they are also FLEXIBLE:

  • You can usually make design changes
  • Select other home designs
  • Choose the level of inclusions
  • Choose your own colour scheme
  • No stamp duty on the building contract
  • Concessions on the land stamp duty for First Home Buyers

At Law Property Australia, we work with our builder partners to make our House and Land Packages as comprehensive as possible. And we ensure that there are no surprises. Our packages will generally include almost everything you will need to move straight in – things like floor tiles, carpets, light fittings, window coverings, security screens, driveway, fencing and more.

With house and land packages, you will contract separately on the land and the house and make progress payments as the house is being built.

The process is straight forward and we will explain everything and guide you through each step. With Law Property Australia, you will enjoy personal service from an industry professional with over 25 years’ experience in the building industry. We will show you the land, introduce you to the builder and explain everything. There is no charge for this service and your home will cost the same as if you went direct to the builder.

Here’s how it works:

  • Inspect the land with our Principal, Colin Law
  • View display homes or similar homes under construction with Colin
  • Colin will introduce you to the builder’s new home consultant
  • You can make decisions on any changes and exactly what you want included
  • You will be given a detailed quote

Once you decide to get things started on your new home:

  • A small deposit will secure your land
  • A deposit on the building contract will cover site investigations and drawing up your plans
  • Sign the land contract which can be subject to finance approval
  • Sign the building contract and pay the balance of 5% deposit
  • Pay balance of land deposit once you receive finance approval
  • Choose your colour scheme – usually with the assistance of the builder’s Colour Consultant.
  • Your land settles first
  • Your house construction commences and you authorise your bank to make the progress payments at each step, usually:
    • Slab 10%
    • Frame 15%
    • Enclosed 35%
    • Fixing 20%
    • Practical completion 15%
  • Organise your removal truck and move in!

The process can vary slightly with different builders; but we will always explain how it will work in each case.
