Applications for the Queensland Government $10,000 Building Boost Grant close on 30 April, 2012.
Anyone contemplating building a new home will need to act very quickly to take advantage of the grant. A building contract will form part of the application, and people need to understand that builders usually require at least two to three weeks to prepare a contract. The process can involve a survey of the block, soil test, preparation of working drawings, engineering design and contract documentation. The cut-off date for most builders would be this week or early next week at the latest.
