The headline on the Courier mail property section from 10 June 2012 read “Plunge in house values easing.” The link will take you to the article.
This is another in what seems to be a trend with the experts reporting the Brisbane market to be variously approaching the bottom, at the bottom or turning (Matusik). The Courier mail article by Cameron Kusher from RPData is not all good news. Reporting on the RP Data – Rismark Home Value Index, Kusher notes that while house values fell in all capital cities except Adelaide, Brisbane was the second best performer, with values falling by only 0.3 per cent.
He goes on to note that Brisbane values are at levels similar to August 2007. The article goes on to detail what can only be describes as slow; however, Kusher also argues that Brisbane is in a stronger position than many other capitals.
